As part of Codarra assisting clients across the capability lifecycle from inception and definition to delivery and in-service support, training is one of the three threads by which it helps customers through the transfer of skills.

Broadly speaking training is offered in Project and Program Management as well as custom courses in support of projects including Systems Engineering and Capability Development.

Project and Program Execution

PRINCE2® - Projects IN Controlled Environments is a process-based approach for project management providing an easily tailored and scalable method for the management of all types of projects. The method is the de-facto standard for project management.

Managing Successful Programmes - MSP® was developed as a best practice guide on Programme Management. The guide comprises a set of Principles and a set of Processes for use when managing a programme. MSP represents proven programme management best practice in the successful delivery of transformational change through the application of programme management.

Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices - P3O® is a Best Management Practice certification and is aligned to PRINCE2, MSP and Management of Risk. P3O brings together in one place a set of principles, processes and techniques to facilitate effective portfolio, programme and project management through enablement, challenge and support structures.

Benefit Realisation Management (BRM) is a defined process used to maximise the return from a specific project or programme and effectively manage strategy. BRM is method agnostic and is the glue that binds all other management techniques together i.e. Quality Management, Project Management, Programme Management and Change Management. This course is designed for any manager or professional who has the need to understand and to clearly define and articulate Benefits in their workplace.

Managing Project Risk. This course addresses Risk Management within projects  and covers determining, monitoring and controlling project risks, and assessing risk management outcomes utilising the AS/NZS ISO 31000 Risk Management standard and its application within projects. It is aimed at the project manager who usually performs the risk management function and the staff involved in Risk Management activities.

Project and Program Definition

Specification Writing. A technical specification is usually considered the most important document in the systems engineering process as it defines in detail the capability requirements of the user and organisation. As such, a good specification helps an organisation acquire systems that best meets its needs and also provides a sound basis for a contract with a supplier.

Writing Operational Concepts. Capability Concepts or Concept of Operations (CONOPS) are important in setting the basis for capability definition and acquisition. Codarra offers a range of courses to assist Defence, government departments and agencies, and private sector companies come to terms with understanding and articulating their capability needs.
